Cleaning Robot ContestOctober 1-3, 2002, in Lausanne, SwitzerlandAndroTec has sponsored a student team of the Technical University of Kaiserslautern in order to participate in this competition. The team's self-built floorcleaning robot navigated perfectly by using the RoboStation Industrial Positioning System. The students Martin Proetzsch, Martin Wicke, and Dominik Freydenberger had constructed the cleaning robot especially for the contest. The event was arranged simultaneously to the IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems, IROS 2002, which was held at the EPFL in Lausanne, Switzerland, from September 30 until October 4, 2002. Besides the cleaning robot contest, AndroTec has also participated in the exhibition which was part of the IROS conference. |
