c't-Robot Contest, Systems 2001, Munich
More than twenty mobile robots participated in the German c't-magazine's robot competition which has been arranged on occasion of the Systems 2001 trade fair. Our team finished fourth, and thus achieved a very good placement.

The competition consisted of three runs, during each of which the robots had to find and collect as many red objects (soda cans) or cigarette packets as possible in an a priori unknown environment within a given time.

Our mobile robot "Doozer" solved the task during the second and third run, respectively, and collected three objects in the minimum time of 3 min 59 sec. "Doozer" had been constructed and built by the students Martin Wicke, Martin Proetzsch, and Malte Kiesel.
